1.
Council 03:31
Councils open again, Ponder the start Sadness creeps in my head When it gets dark Long are evenings, Long are seasons, Long are feelings that cumulate, In my chest Smoking your last cigarette, Just give me a toke, I know that I’ll soon regret But I think that’s the joke Stifling my feelings, Stifling my breathing, Stifling and reeling the demons they come, To cut me up Oh no, Where do we go? All our love’s been tainted and wasted
2.
Bodie, CA 02:50
The heat it soaks into your leather coat Leaving me all out of sorts And I can’t wrap my head around the feeling that’s grown Oh, I want you to know Step inside my mind for a little while Just leave your body at the door Look, I don’t mind if you stay the night but you just have to go Before you attach to my core
3.
Blackfoot 03:20
Come back to me I knew you so well Come back to me Save me from my hell Come lay with me Like the garden when we were young Come stay with me A bond that can't be undone And I've tried To let you know That I'm not running back, running back oh But in truth I'm just tired Of empty houses And empty towns I've seen it all I know it's gone I know i've fallen I know it's fallen away black sin we're rocks on the ground
4.
Take a walk, Through time and space Even brilliant minds, Couldn’t save this place Town hall sessions attended by no one But ghosts of Christmas past If these walls could talk, They’d have a million stories And a million tragic tales And the lights go down, On this Frontier Town And the lights go down, On this Frontier Town It resonants in an eerie way It resonants with myself As I wait it’s almost surreal to think About what it used to be But, contemplating further It’s hard to be here And the lights go down, On this Frontier Town And the lights do down, On this Frontier Town, As we gaze about, Its crumbling down As we gaze about, This Frontier Town
5.
Shores 02:06
6.
Bathe 03:27
I’ve grown content with discontent I’ve bathed in apathy But too much apathy And you’ll fade away Just leave me here I’m not good away from home I’ve seen the end At least my idea of it It’s so close to fiction It’s almost religious Awakes my malaise We’re heading out We’re heading out Searching for nothing But we feel about We feel about Hoping for something We bathe in two's There's nothing I'd rather do
7.
Separator 03:12
You said you knew it from the start I thought that we were meant to last Your words are jagged, oh so twisted Like breaking a bone through the cast I see you running out, It’s breaking me down
8.
The crow it calls to mark the sapling A harbinger of gifts to give The ghost inside your heart is calling Pleading to its master’s sin It echoes through the air, But no one’s really there The dark consumes your quaint homestead The wheat buckles from the strife My head is failed, my limbs are tired As we scan the fields for signs of life All those broken hearts in Madison Waking up with tired bones All those broken hearts in Madison Waking up, all alone All those broken hearts in Madison Waking up with tired bones All those broken hearts in Madison Waking up, they're all alone
9.
Vessels 03:43
The fields of iron, Savaged your tender heart Oh, how I wish we were back at the start Still the blood, Spills from every pour Begging me for more Carved up, Left out in the sun As the flowers take bloom, Were coming undone Still the blood, Spills from every pour Begging me for more I know it’s time to walk Just give me one last talk All my love is lost on you
10.
Voyager 03:13
Close your eyes and count to 10 I'm here waiting once again Standing on your porch with a long-drawn sigh Oh how lonely it must be to die I can't accept the blame, for you oh I'm trapped inside the cycle It's really such a shame Were caught in a web Of misguided loyalties Close your eyes and count to 10 I'm here waiting once again Standing on your porch with a long-drawn sigh Oh how lonely it must be to die Call up your friends and hit the beach Oh how we live for sweet relief Traverse the water making waves Thinking of you all the way The temperatures rising in my heart The burning of a catching spark The signs of sadness wearing thin A life finally in motion

about

Western Jaguar re-emerges from hibernation with his new full length record "Wayfarer." Partially recorded at the Nimbus School of the Recording Arts and Fader Master Sound Studios (owned by GGGarth Richardson [Red Hot Chili Peppers]), "Wayfarer" presents Trainor's "Western Jaguar" with a more polished and restrained sound. However, Trainor remains strapped within the atmospheric soundscape and multi-layered outbursts that figured so promently throughout his first record “Glacia.” Contextually, “Wayfarer” presents a dramatic shift from Trainor’s prior work as “Wayfarer” is an album of travel, both in context and in physical actuality. The album's first single "Council" opens the dialogue of displacement, confusion and separation from the comforts of home and confirms that "Wayfarer" is pushing Western Jaguar forward with new and definitive vigour.

In The Press:

"This is an album of intense sentiments that demands to be felt, going from aching displacement to yearning heartbreak to a haunting melancholy." - Josh Pineda, IndieBeat

"Lush in sound and spacious in its relatively simple arrangements, Wayfarer is filled with vamping piano chords and achingly beautiful violin." - Danielle Dzoiba, Red on Black Music

"Western Jaguar builds on his previous work to create a rich and emotionally textured LP in which he showcases an emotional and spiritual journey of the body, the heart and the soul" - Diamond Deposits

"Wayfarer is cohesive, chilling, and suffused with a zeal of passion."
Si Jia Wen, Permanent Rain Press

"It delicately brings his previous work through a folksy transformation an enriches it into an album that could fill the needs of a soundtrack or something just to chill out to." Joel Taylor, Rock The Valley

"The best way I can describe it is peaceful and serene" - Jenna Melanson, Canadian Beats
